Test pressings make everything real 📀 + Verdin Brothers premier

Pretty wiped from a long week, but had to share this: test pressings for both the Verdin Brothers and Andrew Weathers just shipped out, I should have them in hand by the time you read this.

There's something about getting that "test pressing shipped" email that makes everything real - you go from floating in that unknown space to "okay, now this is rolling downhill." I dive into my whole test pressing philosophy this week, from never telling artists about them until they've heard it first, to wondering if anyone would actually buy my pile of old test pressings (early Elkhorn?, Fibrill?, Daniel Paul Grody? anyone?).

Really want to make this more of a dialogue though - what are your test pressing horror stories? Your anxieties? Your processes? I'm probably more loose and goosey about this stuff than most labels, but I'd love to hear from other artists and labels about their experiences with that final checkpoint.
